Chinese Environmental NGOs Call for Healthy Lifestyle

Thirty-two Chinese environmental non-government organizations, including the Chinese Society of Environmental Science, are calling on the public to live healthily in an effort to ward off disease.

According to the sources with the State Environmental Protection Administration Thursday, they said that people needed to rethink their behavior and take responsibility for protecting the environment.

The appeal message also asked people to respect nature and keep healthy lifestyle habits.

Communities were urged to participate in environmental protection and advocate healthy lifestyles, while businesses were encouraged to balance manufacturing with environmental protection.

Scientists were asked to enhance study of the environment and disease, and journalists were urged to play positive roles in publicizing relevant information
